Edwards and his partner, Tim Keenan, and the staff at Surfside marked the anniversary of Hurricane Sandy by providing free coffee and bagels to their customers.

“My partner, Tim, and I feel very fortunate,” Edwards said of the help and inkind donations that allowed the battered shop get back in business, reopening on February 11th.

About the strong support they received from the community, he said, “We want to do whatever we can to return the favor.”

“We want to thank everyone for their support,” he added, getting back to his enthusiastic morning customers. “It’s amazing!”
