Free Child Care Training In Far Rockaway

As Far Rockaway continues to rebuild and recover in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the Business Outreach Center (BOC) is offering a free child care training course for all who are interested.

This child care training program is made possible through the efforts of city Councilman Donovan Richards.

The Child Care Means Business program, for the first time, is a 13 week, 60 hour intense training that teaches business management, nutrition, and early childhood development to individuals who want to start or expand a child care home base business.

There will be an informational session to discuss the goals and objectives of the training classes, the days and time the classes will meet, as well as how the child care training credits received can be applied towards the required 30 hours of training.

The free session will be held at the Far Rockaway Library on November 18th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Far Rockaway library is located at 1637 Central Avenue, Far Rockaway.

For further information and to register for the information session, please contact Annette Cohen at 646- 229-0322.
