Rockaway Festival Celebrates Fall
Pony rides, cotton candy, popcorn, and arts and crafts were among the highlights at the Sixth Annual Rockaway Fall Festival hosted by the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation and Councilman Donovan Richards on Sunday, October 13th, at Bayswater Park.
The City Parks Puppet Mobile performed Little Red’s Hood. Also, two bouncy houses were set up for the delight of the kids.
Close encounters with animals occurred at the petting zoo, which included sheep and a llama. A hayless hayride was also a big draw.
As always, the pumpkin patch was a popular spot.
There was even a good old fashioned tug of war.
By the end of the day, NYC Parks’ Rockaway Parks Administrator Jill Weber estimated that 1,500 children had attended the festival.
