Photo by Dan Guarino Librarians Kacper Jarecki and Matthew Allison and the staff of the Peninsula Library hosted the first local author expo on Saturday, October 5th.

Over a warm and sunny afternoon, local Queens writers, including several from Rockaway and Broad Channel, talked about their books with dozens who stopped by.

The seven participating authors were set up outdoors, near the library branch’s temporary trailer, and just in front of the still closed library building itself.

Expo authors included Al Daley (Those Feelings: An Anthology of Poems and Related Readings), Tejas Desai (The Brotherhood), Karen Farrell, (Cat Sense: A Feline Style for Living), Dan Guarino, (Images of America: Broad Channel), Michael Kusen, (Chess Poems and Welcome To The Game of Chess), Richard Livesy, (Waiting for the Bomb) and Doree Igra, member of the Peninsula Library Writing Group.
