St. Camillus / St.Virgilius Final Basketball Registration

The last registration for the St. Camillus / St. Virgilius Community Basketball programs will take place in the St. Camillus gym Springmann Hall on Thursday October 17th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

All games are played at St. Camillus. Anyone from Kindergarten to the 8th grade is eligible to play.

The Mini program (Kindergarten to the 2nd grade) play Saturday mornings; the Boys’ program (3rd to the 8th grade) play on Wednesday nights; and the Girls’ program (3rd to the 8th grade) play on Thursday nights. All players signing up for the Senior basketball programs (6th to the 8th grade) must bring a birth certificate to registration. Please be aware that players are eligible to play in this program even if they are playing on CYO teams in other parishes.

The program runs from November to mid-February. The registration fee is $65 for the first child and $10 for each additional child.

“As always, volunteers are needed to help make the program a success,” organizers said. “This year we are in dire need of additional Program Directors, please make an effort to volunteer in some capacity, even part time, to help us keep these great programs going.”

Anyone interested in starting a CYO team can call Bill Swensen at 646-773-0013 immediately.

“Everyone who plays in these programs truly enjoys the experience,” noted Swenson, “whether they are excellent players, or just beginners. Please let all of your friends know about this community basketball league that is open to everyone, and ask them to sign up and join the fun.”
