On Wednesday, September 18th, the NYS Department of Labor conducted a follow-up to the Job Readiness Workshop for Young Adults held at Peninsula Preparatory Academy on August 28th, with individualized job coaching services at the offices of the Rockaway Development and Revitalization Corporation.

In addition to receiving valuable job coaching and placement services, each participant was fitted with attire for the interview graciously donated by one of RDRC’s collaborative partners, Stephanie Ueberall, Citizens Crime Commission of New York City.

“The next steps for the participants are having them come back to RDRC and independently search the Job Bank portal, schedule interviews and be ready for the upcoming Job Fair,” RDRC’s President and CEO, Kevin Alexander stated.

“The Job Fair will be for Rockaway young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 years,” he said, “and will be hosted by the NYS Department of Labor, King of Kings Foundation, Citizens Commission of New York City and RDRC, Inc. later this fall.”
