Food Drive Announced At Precinct Council Meeting

Police Office Garth Watt is honored as the 100th Precinct Cop of the Month by Precinct Community Council President Danny Ruscillo and 100th Precinct Commander, Captain Craig Adelman. The 100th Precinct Community Council met at the Knights of Columbus on Tuesday, September 24th.

Among other initiatives, the Council announced a food drive for Saturday, October 5th in front of Waldbaum's from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. All food donated will be going to St. Rose of Lima RC Church.  Reminder: non-perishables.

 Council President Danny Ruscillo explained that St. Rose and the Council are helping others that don’t have food pantries.

Captain Craig Adelman, commander of the 100th Precinct, and NYPD Transit District 23 Captain Roberto Cruz answered questions and gave updates on crime and safety issues in the area.

Adelman and Cruz, respectively, also honored Police Office Garth Watt as 100th Precinct Cop of the Month and Police Officer Rubin Ticas as 23rd Transit District Cop of the Month.

The Council also announced they will be gearing up for their 4th Annual Chili- Cook Off Contest, which will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Friday, January 17th from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door.
