Big Ron’s Bait and Tackle in Howard Beach reports that the porgy action is increasing; bigger fish are being taken at the Marine Parkway Bridge, and the Verrazano Bridge. The porgies are hitting on clams and worms. Striped bass are showing up in the surf at Breezy

Point. Bluefish are fattening up on bunker chunks there as well.

Alan from Brooklyn was catching Virginia spots next to Beach Channel High School on Sunday, September 15th. Alan reports that bluefish are taking bunker at B.C.H.S. as well.

Tom’s Wave service station reports that no bluefish have been seen around but, striped bass action is slowly picking up on the beach. Virginia spots are slowing down a bit on the action but, porgy activity is picking up with the fish taking clams and worms from anglers. Fluke are heading for deeper water. East End report:

East of the Long Beach Bridge to the construction dock:

Bernie Matzen reports trigger fish are at the local bridges, and the sea bass are getting larger. Fluke action is moving offshore.
