The Board of Elections can't seem to get anything right and they might have lost a few votes here in Rockaway.
I went to my voting place on Tuesday to find out it wasn't there. A small piece of paper was attached, by a single piece of scotch tape, to a post in front of the school on 110th and the Boulevard advising that voting would now take place at 102-00 Shorefront Parkway. If that sign had blown away, no one would have known where to vote.
When I finally got to 102-00 SFP I asked someone when the decision was made to change the voting site and was told it was at least the week before. What I would like to know is, if the B of E knew a week in advance, why didn't they send out notices or better yet, put something in The Wave. I couldn't get an answer.
In addition I found our old voting booths. Nothing wrong with that, but millions were spent on new computer machines, where were they?
