Last week I forgot to mention that “Idea Jam Mondays” will enjoy a temporary hiatus due to summer scheduling issues. When it resumes, it will probably be on a monthly basis, something like the second Monday of the month, or something like that.

There was such a positive reaction to some of the ideas we collected on the streets of New York, I have dusted off another batch for you. I just wish there was a way to share the enthusiasm that they were delivered with. Here they are in no particular order… *Members of Congress people should not have health care and pension for life *Fold up dishwashers for small apartments *“Accountable.com” Politician’s promises are tracked *Opposite Day *Screenplay idea: “loss of the nuclear football” *Vitamin deficiency gauge *Express hair salon at airport *Laminated school notes so you can study in the shower. *Pangea – so you can travel to other continents in a second *Cranberry juice in smaller bottles *Legos for building real houses *Device that keeps popcorn butter off your fingers *Some way you know when you’re cell phone is making an “in network” (free) call *Parallel parking - turn all 4 wheels perpendicular - no back up necessary *Beer labels that can be peeled off and used as coasters *Zip line across Manhattan *Foot operated toilet seat lifter upper *Website that measures you and shows you in a suit *Political party called “Throw The

Bums Out” *Idea bars with booths where people can record their ideas *Auto door openers for houses and apartments *Parking ticket also enters lottery *Skateboard wheel lights *Interactive public recycling machine *Boat propeller cage to protect Manatees *Clear spray on socks for women when it’s cold *Doggie poop glow pill for night-time pickups *Bottle sweet cereal milks *Reflectors on baby strollers *Super lotto for high rollers *Expanding baby seat - grows with child *Bicycle grip BUBBLE maker *Toilet paper joke dispenser *Light motion sensor with audio of barking dog *Motorized wheel barrel *Fashion bracelet to hold accessories *Pillow that tells bedtime stories *Spoon that cools or heats a bite of food at a time

So it’s clear that some of this stuff is practical, while others are not. So don’t let reality hold you back, it’s more about the imagining and sharing. Show us what you’ve got? Oh, and for the record, ideas can be shared anonymously, like the ones above, if you prefer. It’s up to you. RickHoran@IdeasImprov.com
