Doors Re-Open Wide At BC Church
Congregants, supporters, volunteers, neighbors and well-wishers, even those of different faiths, came on Sunday, August 11th, to celebrate the first service in the newly rebuilt church sanctuary. Both the church on Noel Road, and adjacent church hall, were severely damaged during Hurricane Sandy.
Its rebuilding was in large part due to the efforts of its congregation and with the aid of many donors and volunteers, many of whom came from other states to help.
The church hall is still in great need of repair.
Both Don Minor, and Joyce Adamiszyn, who each played a large part in the ongoing project, addressed those gathered at the service.
Noting the happy and prolonged greetings all over the church during the service, Reverend Manas commented, “I was told this could go on all day along.”
