In the distance paddle, Event No. 3, Tom O’Neill took 1st place, and his brother Brian O’Neill took 3rd. When combined, that translated to a 1st overall.
In Event No. 5, the distance swim, Tom O’Neill took 1st, and Pat Kilgallen took 2nd. Combined, that gave them a 1st overall. Event No. 6, the swim-paddle-run relay, saw the trio of Tom O’Neill, Brian O’Neill, and Sean McClean place 1st. In Event No. 7, the rescue race, Pat Kilgallen and Tom O’Neill placed 1st.
