Join and Help The Fight

Dear Editor:

Because of our politicians’ not paying attention or simply not caring we are looking at some real financial problems in the next couple of years. The cause will be the cost of flood insurance. There are numerous areas in the country that will be affected and we are surely one of them. Fortunately there are people who are fighting to come up with viable solutions. One of those groups is Stop Fema Now, led by George Kasimos a resident of New Jersey.

George and his organization have been working tirelessly for all of us. There are people in our neighborhood who are working along with George. Dan Munday, Kevin Boyle, the 14th Street Block Association in Broad Channel and me included. We have had some success; our politicians now realize they have made a big mistake passing the Biggerts-Water Act. This bill enables The National Flood Program to raise their rates drastically.

There are people in numerous states working with all of us and there are now over 10,000 members of Stop Fema Now. But we have to start lobbying on our behalf and that takes money. We are asking everyone to send some kind of a donation to Stop Fema Now, 1358 Hooper Ave, Suite111, Toms River, NJ 08753 or you can go to www.paypal.com. If we don't all get involved we will be looking at some potentially huge flood insurance bills. Please take the time to send some kind of a donation, every dollar counts. What we can send today will help us save tomorrow. Thank You.

PALMER DOYLE
