JASA Seniors and Goldman Sachs Volunteers Say“See Ya Sandy!”
On Friday, July 12th, Jewish Association Serving the Aging (JASA) celebrated five years of volunteer collaborations with Goldman Sachs’ Community TeamWorks. This year, JASA welcomed nearly 50 volunteers to Far Rockaway in order to celebrate the resiliency of JASA’s seniors in the face of Hurricane Sandy.
Approximately 550 seniors participated in an afternoon-long “See Ya Sandy” party that featured great food, music and dancing. Goldman volunteers even joined in on the dance floor with crowd favorites like “The Macarena” and “The Electric Slide!” Thank you to Goldman Sachs and all of the JASA employees who made this day possible!
Founded 45 years ago, JASA’s mission is to sustain and enrich the lives of the aging in the New York metropolitan area so that they can remain in the community with grace and dignity. For more information visit: www.jasa.org.
