The Queens Library has announced that the Far Rockaway branch at 1637 Central Avenue, just off Mott Avenue, will close for customer service at the end of business on Saturday, August 10th.

When it re-opens, as scheduled for in late August, library users will have easy access to expanded job placement services, and will enjoy a new decor.

While the library on Central Avenue is closed, limited library service will be provided in the front lobby of the Queens Library for Teens at 2002 Cornaga Avenue at Beach 20th Street, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday - Friday. Library users will have access to the computers, be able to pick up and make requests, and receive referrals. All Teen Library Services will remain in place, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information about programs, services, locations, events and news in the Queens Library system, visit their web site at www.queenslibrary.org or phone 718-990-0700.
