Finding Inner Picasso At JASA’s Roy Reuther Senior Center

Seniors at Roy Reuther Senior Center have begun getting in touch with their inner Picasso.

The senior center has started a painting club/class that meets on Tuesday afternoons at 2 p.m. The center provides the canvases, paints, brushes, palettes and easels. The budding artists can either paint at their own speed or paint along with director Sydney Lombardi in a guided activity with a sample painting as a guide. The seniors get to have fun and feel a sense of accomplishment. After the usual “I can’t draw” remarks with a little nudging and TLC; the center has gotten the painting club off the ground. All are welcome. Contact Lombardi at 718-471-3110 to learn more about programming and upcoming activities at JASA’s Roy Reuther Senior Center.
