Rock’s Kosmos Hold Tryouts

The Rockaway Kosmos Travel Soccer Teams are pleased to announce their competitive team tryouts for the upcoming Fall 2013 thru Spring 2014 seasonal year.

The tryouts apply to both returning and new players in the U8 - U16 age groups.

The tryouts will be conducted by the Kosmos Soccer Professional Coaching and Training staff.

According to a Kosmos media release, “With our primary goal to advance youth soccer, we will do our best to find a spot for every qualified player who is interested regardless of experience.”

The U8 - U16 compete in NY Club Soccer League, Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League, LI Junior Soccer League, US Club Soccer, Just Say Soccer. In addition to league play, the teams will compete, based on player level, in the US Club Soccer New York Cup, LI Cup, State Cup and the NY City Cup.

What to bring? To help make the tryout objective, players should wear a white T shirt and shorts. NO uniforms should be worn. Wear shin guards and cleats, and bring a soccer ball (age appropriate) and water.

Seasonal tryouts will be held at Fort Tilden Field 1, rain or shine. Please arrive 15 -30 minutes before tryouts start time for player check in.

Girls and Boys Travel Tryouts
U11 - 5:00 - 6:15
U12 6:15 - 7:30
U13-16 7:30 - 8:30
