Project Hope Reaches Out To Schools

Project Hope and Counseling in Schools have invited all middle and high school students in the Rockaway area to a free summer program held at Beach Channel High School Educational Campus from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, July 8th to August 8th.

Sessions include: Creative Writing, Drama, Visual Arts, Leadership, Yoga and Rockaway Explorers. Programming is separate for middle and high school students. Please contact Megan at 646-771-3533 or megan.projecthope@gmail.com for more information.

Project Hope is a federally funded program that provides support services to communities that were impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

Together with Counseling in Schools, an established counseling organization in the New York City public school system, Project Hope is bringing quality counseling to school communities of the Rockaways and elsewhere. Trained social workers, creative art therapists and teaching artists work with students, families and staff alike to build resiliency skills in the aftermath of the storm.

Project Hope encourages all to contact them and “join the Project Hope community!”
