High Praise For PS 114

Dear Editor,

For years there has been an open secret about an elite school named Ps/Ms 114 The Belle Harbor School. Our daughter Princess is graduating after being lucky enough to spend six years in this wonderful school. The first time we saw the building we were in awe of the regal structure. It reminded us of a castle. We met her great Principal, Stephen P. Grill, who welcomed us with open arms.

The very first day of school we saw the respect his staff and students had for him while they lined up to sing the Pledge of Allegiance. From that moment on, we knew Princess would be in good hands.

When she came home each day she would tell us how much she learned and how much she loved this school. It made us a little jealous. We wished we could be like Marty Mcfly from the movie Back to the Future and do public school all over again.

Princess learned a lot from this school and when she read about the life of Anne Frank she became a role model and an inspiration to Princess. We took her to the Anne Frank center in Manhattan. The center and Anne Frank’s story was inspiring to us all.

We want to publicly thank everyone at Ps/Ms 114 for caring so much about us and Princess especially: Mr Stephen Grill, Mrs. Barbara Poggioli- Esposito, Ms. Kathy Meade, Mrs. Samantha Vought, Ms. Linda Buis, Mrs. Machado, Mrs. Sue Murphy, Ms. Laura Ferragamo, Mrs. Deidre Mapes, Mr. Brett Pasquarelli, Ms. Denise Oconnell, Mrs. Katie Diffendale, Ms. Alice White, Ms Melissa White, and Ms. Diaz. All of you will forever have a special place in our hearts. Thanks for everything !

JOE and JOY RANDOLPH
