Calling All Artists For RAA’s 1st Exhibition
The Rockaway Artists Alliance is inviting all artists to be a part of their first exhibition at their Fort Tilden galleries since Hurricane Sandy.
“The Salon Show” is a non-juried exhibition which welcomes all artists to bring out their best works, even those previously exhibited. It is open to any theme and any and all mediums, including but not limited to painting, watercolor, photography, print, poetry and literature and sculpture.
The showcase itself will run from Saturday July 6th to Sunday August 11th in the T-7 Gallery, and will be celebrated with a grand reopening celebration on Saturday, July 13th.
Drop off and hanging for the show will be on July 6th from 12 to 4 p.m. or until all spaces are filled. Each artist will have up to 6 feet across of wall space for up to 10 pieces. There is a limit of four pieces if the works are over 24" each. If works are smaller, the space may be shared with another artist.
Artists are asked to bring hanging tools and will be responsible for putting up their own works.
RAA will supervise, arrange wall space, and have the final judgment of arrangement of works to enhance all the works of art in the exhibit.
Said an RAA spokesperson, “This is our first exhibition in our galleries since the storm. Let's make it great!”
