Singer Danny Mulvanerty brings on his best Elton John as the versatile Indaculture helped re-open Connolly’s Bar with a bang on Saturday, May 24th. Fresh from performing at the official Rockaway beach reopening on Friday, May 24th, the multitalented local band Indaculture was ready to kick off the grand reopening of Connolly’s Bar on Saturday night, May 25th.

There was a great turnout despite temperatures that dipped into the 40’s. The band debuted some great new original songs as well as some new covers they’ve worked up.

Highlights included an entertaining version "Benny and The Jets," enthusiastically by Danny Mulvanerty, doing his best Elton John. Keyboardist Phil Kadet was spot on. Jenna and Kuff performed "Rockaway State of Mind."

Walker Hornung, of Walker and the Brotherhood of the Grape, joined the band for "One Way Out."

The third set opened with special guest Brian Maguire performing a medley on the Bagpipes, followed by Jenna Baker singing "The Star Spangled Banner."

Kadet, Butler and drummer Matt Allen performed a late night 4th set as their three piece "ABK Authentic Trio" while the bar frantically restocked the coolers.

Said bass player Butler, “Our next gig is B.B. Kings Blues Club (off Times Square) on June 14th. The band still has tickets available. The bands tickets are cheaper than tickets obtained online.”

Following the B.B. Kings show, “we’ll perform in the Mermaid Parade on Saturday, June 22nd, on the Rockaway Artists Alliance float.”
