Bikers, hikers and motorists once again enjoyed the late afternoon sun and the sounds of Jamaica Bay on Sunday, May 5th.

Located in Broad Channel, the highly popular shoreline, parks and parking areas on either side of the Joseph P. Addabbo Bridge, are part of the National Park Service Gateway National Recreation Area. Closed since the hurricane, they have recently reopened to the public

Fronting the Bay, they are widely used at all times of the day and all times of the year by Queens residents for fishing, kayak and canoe launching, barbecues, beach strolling or just the quiet enjoyment of nature.
