Bugs Needed

Dear Editor:

We need bugs, I think.

I am not talking about Bugsy, we need him too. I am talking about bugs in the ground, like beetles and potato bugs, the ones you find around your garden. I just dug up thirteen shrubs in my backyard and didn’t see one bug or worm. I think we need them to aerate the soil or something for a healthy lawn and garden, no? They probably will come back in time but if they don’t and you see your new shrubs and trees not taking, maybe this is the reason why. I could be 100 percent wrong on this. I am not a botanist or entomologist or smart. And for the other animals that used to live in those bushes and shrubs, where will they go? Better be careful when you go deep in your garage or reach under your deck. You might come in contact with some creature that has been displaced. We people are not the only ones pissed off living differently than before. If you see them in the daylight, maybe it’s moving day and it is not rabid or sick like we believed before. Give it a break. They are going through this just like us.
