PS/MS 183 Celebrates Girl And Boy Scout Leaders
PS/MS 183Q has announced it is celebrating the Parent Leaders of the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America.
According to a spokesperson, this includes “leaders like Lisa Cooper- Johnson, Charles Cooper, Della Jackson, Nancy Rodriguez, and teachers Mrs. Ayala, Mrs. Dale, Mrs. Frittola and Ms. R. Smith,” who are role models of theory, practice and excellence for the young scouts.
“These are exemplary individuals,” she said, “who have encouraged our young to be the best that they can be.
“Each week,” she noted, “we have enjoyed hearing the promise of these young scouts, and watch their smiling faces due to the planned events they look so forward to.
“The girl scout troop leaders were able to create a fantastic art collection of photos of Hurricane Sandy with each girl’s personal note of how they were affected.”
She noted how the encouragement and sacrifice of the adult volunteers helped and supported not only the scouts and staff, but also helped them to move forward.
The scouts have not only enjoyed trips to theatres and fun parks, but their leaders plan to escort the troops to “I Play America,” “New Hope Alpine Camp,” the circus, bowling and many fun events.
In addition, the scouts are taught to enjoy their personal skills through decorating, car building, cooking and enjoy fitness exercises.
Noted the spokesperson, “These volunteers extend so much care and devotion to providing great experiences for our children and we applaud their actions.”
