Beginning April 13th, a donation from the Bank of America of $82,000 will help the branch remain open on Saturdays and Sundays, in addition to its current weekday hours.

The library, located on Beach 54th Street, has been working out of a trailer next to the Sandy devastated branch while repairs are being made. Although book selection is smaller than normal, the branch can order specific titles for patrons or books can be requested online to be sent to the branch.

Other services offered at the library are free use of computers and Internet, job skills training, and homework help. For upcoming events check the Queens Library website.
