Defining District Lines

There are several elected officials in the area but some may not know who represents what sections of the peninsula. Here’s a little clarification about our local State Senate, State Assembly and City Council members and the areas they cover.

From the State Senate, Senator James Sanders Jr. covers District 10. This includes Beach 100th Street to Beach 9th Street, with most of the focus on the north side of the peninsula. Senator Joseph Addabbo Jr. is in charge of District 15 which covers Breezy Point to Beach 2nd Street, with most of the focus on the South side of the peninsula from Beach 100th Street to Beach 2nd Street. For State Assembly, Assemblyman Phillip Goldfeder is in charge of District 23 which covers Breezy Point to Beach 2nd, with most of the focus on the south side of the peninsula from Beach 84th Street to Beach 20th Street. He is also in charge of Broad Channel, Howard Beach and Ozone Park. Goldfeder’s office can be reached at 718-641-8755. Assemblywoman Michele R. Titus of District 31 covers Beach 90th street to Beach 20th street, with most of the focus on the north side of the peninsula. Titus’ office can be reached at 718- 327-1845.

City Councilmember Donovan Richards Jr. oversees District 31 which includes Beach 86th Street to Beach 2nd Street. His office can be reached by calling 718-527-4356. Eric Ulrich of District 32 represents Breezy Point to Beach 73rd Street in Rockaway, as well as Broad Channel, Howard Beach and other parts of Queens. His office can be reached at 718-738-1083.
