Kosmos Girls Fall Short

The Kosmos Artemis girls lost a hard fought battle to Albertson Lightning by a score of 3-0. The girls played unevenly the entire match, being down two players and having no substitutes, but that did not stop them from playing their hearts out. The girls fought most of the game in the midfield area, holding their own but when the push to score was needed, little legs had no more energy in them to get past the fresh legs of Albertson.

Molly Murtagh and Sydney Colleran played amazing in goal, keeping the score from getting out of hand and making save after save.

The defense of Daniella Di Carlo and Beth Dunn did the best, fighting against every run Albertson attempted. The midfield of Cailtin Mullin, Mollie Abernethy, and Sydney Colleran stopped numerous attempts and supported forward, Cat Lunny, to the best of their ability.

The team did express their thanks to Caitlin Mullin for coming out of retirement to assist this week, and hope the negotiations will continue to keep her. The team is looking forward to next week’s game and hopes their battle this week will persist with a complete roster for the rest of the season.
