Rockaway had two press conferences this past weekend. I want to thank John Cori, Ed Pastore, State Senator Joe Addabbo, City Councilman Eric Ulrich and all the people who attended the City Hall conference to include Rockaway residents in the planning and rebuilding of Rockaway.
I also want to thank Assemblyman Phil Goldfeder, District leader Lew Simon, Congressman Meeks and Congressman Jeffries and all the supporters who attended the press conference to support the opening of the old Rockaway Beach Line.
I want to urge everyone to get involved. We need everyone to go and speak up at meetings, rallies, marches and press conferences. We need you to write to our elected leaders, the MTA and the media telling them what you want. We need to work together. Don’t you want a safer, cleaner, and more beautiful Rockaway?
Are you tired of the long rides to work and home? Don’t you want your children to have a great school, great transportation and a great neighborhood? We have a chance to change and make Rockaway a better place. Get involved, get organized. Join an organization. We need you. Don’t give up! Thank you to everyone who does get involved. Now get organized.
