SJEH Offers Diabetes Education

St. John’s Episcopal Hospital is holding free education sessions on better diabetes management as part of its Diabetes Wellness Program throughout the year.

Each session is led by certified diabetes educator and dietitian Norma Archibald, RD, and features a different expert healthcare professional as a guest speaker.

Some upcoming programs include a discussion on “Diabetes Control and Prevention” which will be led by Jonathon Eckstein, DO, Program Director, Family Practice on April 1st at 1:30 p.m. in the first floor board room of the hospital. The next program at 1:30 p.m. on May 6th, will be led by Archibald and will focus on “Diabetes Management.” A program at 1:30 p.m. on June 3rd will focus on “Dialysis and Diabetes.”

The sessions on various topics related to diabetes will be held throughout the year at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, 327 Beach 19th Street, Far Rockaway. For more information please call Norma Archibald, RD, at 516-606-0179.
