Turning back the clock at PS 114, the third grade has been studying the culture and customs of ancient Rome. On March 22nd, they livened up things with a real ‘toga’ party in the their newly restored gym.

The children and even some of the teachers got into the spirit and came in costume. They exhibited crafts and art work typical of the Roman period and snacked on foods such as cheese and fruit that were typical of that time in history.

The program provided hands on learning and a great break from the classroom and those upcoming standardized tests.
