More than 20 organizations from the city, state and federal levels were on hand to help residents. Among those at the forum were FEMA, the National Flood Insurance Program, the New York City Department of Buildings, and the American Institute of Architecture. Representatives were on hand to help answer questions about home disaster loans, property tax relief, legal services, managing storm related stress, mold removal and rebuilding your home.

“The nice thing about this open house format is you can talk to different experts for as long as you feel you need until you get all the answers you feel you have to have,” said Brad Gair, the director of the Mayor’s Office of Housing Recovery Operations.
