A Wave Of Praise
After reading last weekend’s issue I decided to write to let you know how much I enjoyed our hometown paper. We are blessed to have a weekly edition that keeps us informed politically and socially. Whether it be the controversial politics, weekly happenings of sports associations, bands playing at the local establishments, the plays of our local Theater group or Art exhibitions by local artists, The Wave is there. I know The Wave has received some bad press in the past. I try not to harp on negative reviews and will always read you. I especially appreciated Rick Horan’s article in “Ideas Wanted” for smart lights in our community. His argument was well crafted and to the point. There are quite a number of intersections if not all, that should have smart lights, all of Shore Front Pkwy and Beach Channel Drive to name a few. Our time is precious! I look forward to hearing more support by our Community Board on this matter. Beth Hanning’s, “Slice of Life” on cell phone etiquette was not only true but very funny. I also enjoyed Peter Corless’ “My Turn”, wouldn’t it be great to have a CUNY, BY THE SEA! A College Campus would bring so much to our community, including jobs, programs, businesses, sports and arts.
Thank you also to Miriam Rosenberg and Dan Guarino. In reading Miriam’s article I realized I had been quoted which was a delightful surprise. Dan has always kept us abreast, it does not go unnoticed.
Keep up the great work, special kudos to Susan Locke and Kevin Boyle.
