The home of Broad Channel residents Jan and Apryl Nebozenko, badly damaged during the hurricane, was recently demolished.

The storage container placed on the lot where they hope to rebuild became a blank canvas for Rockaway artist and friend Geoff Rawling.

The bland white metal bin was transformed into an Irish cottage, complete with deep green door and thatched roof.

A humorous short video, directed by Broad Channel musician Michael Benedetto, showing Rawling painting the structure appears on Youtube.com under “Geoff Paints for St. Patrick’s Day.”
