A Perfect Season. Archbishop Molloy High Schools Varsity Girls Swim Team 2013 won their 10th consecutive Brooklyn-Queens Championship, 5th Dual Meet City Championship and 5th Individual City Championship. The Archbishop Molloy High School Girls Varsity Swim Team has just completed a perfect season.

The team won their 10th consecutive Brooklyn-Queens Championship, 5th Dual Meet City Championship and 5th Individual City Championship. It’s quite an impressive record for a team that has been in existence for only 11 years.

This year the team was bolstered with a great group of freshman swimmers led by Carolyn Crocker of Broad Channel who broke the School Records in the 200 yard Freestyle (2:06.96) and the 500 yard Freestyle (5:36.07).

All of the girls swam their best times over the weekend and dominated the competition, scoring 788.50 points, with Fontbonne Hall coming in runner-up with 560.50 points. All the GCHSAA (Girl's Catholic High School Athletic Association) League awards were taken home by Archbishop Molloy.

The four+ year Career Swimmer Award went to Kelly Whelan, the Swimmer of the Meet (MVP) to Alex Rubiano and the Vinny Harkins Memorial Coach of the Year to Donald Green.

With many of the swimmers being underclassmen the team expects to enjoy much success in the coming years. The Archbishop Molloy coaches, Donald Green, Dennis Wresch, Keith Green, Dan Quinn and James Sanders are all Rockaway residents.
