A Dad’s Rebuttal

Dear Editor:

First let me say I am frugal, not cheap. Last year I donated over a thousand dollars to charities and religion. I like having my family staying with me, but they said they would be out by Super Bowl (They forgot to tell me which one!) I can’t figure out how my granddaughter can sit in a room with the TV on, computer in use and listening to music with ear plugs, but can’t seem to find the hamper!

It’s not just LIPA. I try to go green, save water, trees, I recycle and try to save earth’s resources. I saw homes built in a month, but it takes over four months to rebuild a standing structure. Go figure. I think I made life too comfortable!

Things I hope I never see again: A storm like Sandy, a letter to The Wave by Larry Penner, Joan Mettler and John Baxter, damage to my daughter’s house and my name in The Wave!

Speedy recovery to all. God Bless Rockaway and America. No better place to live!!!
