Storm At Aunt Ann and Uncle Dan’s

By E.V. Savino

The following Story From Sandy was sent from Ann Savino-Murphy and Dan Murphy. They write:

“Our six year old great niece E.V. Savino, Nicky and Pam’s daughter, lives in Marine Park, Brooklyn. When she returned to school after Storm Sandy, the children were asked to draw and write about their experience with the storm. So E.V. (short for Elizabeth Virginia- and answers to E.V.) drew a picture and wrote on how she perceived the impact of the storm on Aunt Ann and Uncle Dan.

Thought this would make people smile. It certainly helped us through and all we can say is: out of the mouths of babes.”

Aunt Ann had a flood. My Dad went to help. He had to go under water, he was wet all over. The furniture was under the water and all her house. The picture is Aunt Ann and Uncle Dan with snorkels. (Artwork by E.V. Savino.)
