Thanks To Sister Agnes

Dear Editor:

Having been back at St. Camillus School for over a month now, this thanks is well overdue. As we are all trying to get back to normalcy after Super Storm Sandy we would like to express our thanks to Sr. Agnes White, an unsung hero when it comes to her students at St. Camillus. After Sandy, St. Camillus was unable to open and through the efforts of Sr. Agnes the children and faculty together were able to go together as one school to Ave Maria Academy in Howard Beach. Each morning Sr. Agnes met, greeted and travelled with the children to Ave Maria.

She also kept the parents well informed and worked diligently along with Joe Wiley and Kerry Montero to repair and restore St. Camillus so that the children could return.

Since the students and faculty returned on December 10th, there has been a new sense of vitality and happiness at St. Camillus all due to the work of their principal Sr. Agnes White.

Thank you so much for caring about our children and our school.

BRENDA and JOHN SCHILLING
