These visitors from upstate New York were willing to help the families of this school have a wonderful and joyous holiday.

The folks at PS/MS 183 said that regardless of how traumatic Hurricane Sandy has been to the residents in the Rockaways, there are and have been outstanding people and organizations that should be noted in the spotlight. Josh and Dyanna Kane contacted the PS 183 Parent Association President, Lisa Cooper, and along with Della Jackson, Elaine Williams, Ruth Pressley, Ms. Cummings and other volunteers and staff members, made sure that the holiday was filled with acts of kindness toward all families who came to the school on December 15, 2012. Also donating from upstate New York was “Aunt Rosie’s Sweets.” Aunt Rosie personally came and donated chocolate lollipops and cakes for this holiday occasion.

It was called an event people will never forget.
