An opening reception for “Sandy: Before and After,” an exhibition of 29 images showing an overview of the effects of the storm was held at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge on Sunday, January 27th.

The exhibition uses photographs, aerial views, maps and charts produced by National Parks Service workers during recovery operations for the Gateway National Recreation Area. A poignantly produced video sums up the exhibition’s impact.

Sandy: Before and After will be open to the public at the Refuge’s visitors’ center from 9 to 5 daily through March 31st.
