Sponsored by Rockaway Wish, the International Culinary Center and “The Good Wife” television show, the afternoon featured music, food and good company for more than a thousand people. “Good Wife” star Christine Baranski also attended.

Held under a huge, L-shaped heated tent on the BHYC grounds, the event also had a magician, face painting and balloon animals and hats for kids, as well as rows of fresh cupcakes.

The International Culinary Institute provided the excellent food, beverages and servers and the Metropolitan Lumber Company of Manhattan also distributed $50 gift cards, under the tent. Inside the BYHC live music was provided by Indaculture.

Many attendees enjoyed the opportunity to meet, greet, talk with and share a good time with friends and neighbors, many of whom they had not seen since before the storm.
