Robert Huff

Retired MTA Specialist

Robert Huff, a retired Metropolitan Transit Authority Emergency Response Specialist, died on December 30th, 2012 at age 76.

A U.S. Army veteran, Huff served as a Staff Sergeant at the Tripler Army Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was also a lifelong member of New York City’s Union Baptist Church, where he served as a member of the Young Adult Usher Board and as its President. Huff was also a longtime member of the Cosmopolitan Social Club, an offshoot of the Youth Usher Board.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leo and Mattie Gambel Huff and his brothers and sisters, Leo, Roselle “Roz”, Dorothy “Dot”, Walter and Alice.

Huff is survived by his wife, Maxine and daughter, Melyne, as well as grandchildren, Vicki, Brianna, Camryn, Micah and future grandson, Aiden. He is also survived by son-in-law, Fred McCoy; sister-in-law, Audrey Owens and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
