Jamaica Bay Task Force To Meet
The American Littoral Society and the Jamaica Bay EcoWatchers announced that a Jamaica Bay Task Force meeting will be held Tuesday, January 29th at 6:30 p.m. at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Center in Broad Channel. This will be the first meeting of the group since Sandy and will be an opportunity to learn about the damage to the bay and park as a result of the storm.
This meeting is open to the public and will include a question and answer period.
Reps from the National Park Service and the Department of Environmental Protection, New York’s Department of Environmental Conservation and the Army Corps of Engineers are expected to attend.
