Sergeant Ray Morales told The Wave that the department received several boxes of supplies from Rock Quarry. Working with Sharon Anderson, the head librarian for the Far Rockaway branch, the supplies were distributed on January 10th. In less than an hour, book bags, pens, pencils, paper, crayons and other supplies were nearly gone. Also in the shipment were handmade holiday cards from the children of the Alabama school to the children of Rockaway.
