The Q53 Bus is unreliable and a dangerous mess. I waited Tuesday night, December 18, 2012 from 9:55 p.m. to 10:42 p.m., 47 minutes in the cold, dark, lonely streets of post Hurricane Sandy Rockaway. There should have been a bus at 9:57 p.m., 10:12 p.m. and 10:32 p.m. I stopped taking the 10:32 p.m. bus because it never shows up. Now the 9:57 p.m. bus doesn't show up. I spoke to the passengers and found out one man was waiting for the bus since 9:30 p.m.
I have complained to the MTA but it's a waste of time. Try calling the MTA to make a complaint about service it's a wasted effort.
We need more buses on the route, longer buses, select bus service, and in the future open the old LIRR Rockaway Line plus fix the A-Train NOW and more supervision of bus drivers.
We need The Wave to keep the pressure on the MTA to help all the neighborhoods, from Rockaway to Woodside which are affected by this bad transit service.
Please investigate this problem. Please have someone follow the Q 53. Check how Cross Bay Boulevard, Woodhaven Boulevard, Queens Boulevard and Broadway traffic in Queens is unbearable and dangerous for everyone causing major delays to Rockaway passengers.
