Four of Rockaway’s libraries brought some holiday fun to a community and its children weary from the effects of Superstorm Sandy. On Tuesday, December 18, the staff members at the Far Rockaway, Teen, Arverne and Peninsula Libraries hosted holiday parties for children and their parents. Santa Claus made stops at several of these events as he posed for photos and danced with local teens. The fun was made possible by Councilman James Sanders Jr.; NYPD Patrol Borough South; the Staff of the New York Community Trust; Hot97 Hip Hop Has Heart Foundation; and American Eagle Outfitters Foundation. Also stopping by to give his support was Assemblyman Phillip Goldfeder.
