Daniel F. Lynch

WW II Veteran

World War II U.S. Army veteran Daniel F. Lynch died on October 19.

Lynch, who lived in Rockaway for 47 years, was a vice president of Ferolie Food Brokerage.

He was the past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post at Roxbury, the past president of the Catholic Institute for the food industry, a member of the Catholic Club and the Golfer’s Association. He was a member of the Holy Name and Nocturnal Adoration Societies.

Lynch was preceded in death by his brother, John Raymond Lynch and sister, Eleanor Losito.

He is survived by his wife, Mary M. Lynch (nee Flynn); children, John Raymond (Corinne) Lynch, Kathleen Powell (Douglas), Daniel (Barbara) Lynch, Christine Maher (Daniel), Kevin (Rachael) Lynch; grandchildren, Adriane, Michael, Brian, Sean, Lauren, Russell, Kelly, Eric, Doug and Jane; great-grandchildren Casey, Katie, Molly and Noah; brotherin law Cyril Massar; sisters-in-law, Mary and Barbara Flynn; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O’Connor Funeral Home in Rockaway Beach.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, New York.
