Betty Jean Finn
Betty Jean Finn, a long time resident of Broad Channel, died on September 30 at the age of 72.
Born in Georgia, Finn lived in Broad Channel for more than 40 years and worked as a Limited Practice Nurse.
She was a devout member of the Jerusalem True Baptist Church.
Finn was preceded in death by her parents, Connie Ferrell and Glen Asbury, aunts, uncles, husband William Finn and grandson Jeffrey Brown Jr.
She is survived by her children, David, Sharon (Fred), Jeffrey (Beth), Rodderick (Danna), Melvin and Renee (Fairlene); 13 grandchildren, Alexis, Rodderick, LaShonda, Myasia, Shanae, Fuquan, Dominique, Jasmine, Keith, Demari, Sirinique, Talaya, Dalayna, Damon and Damari; 9 great-grandchildren, Dubar, Jahnique, Jahdanian, Jozziah, Sharae, Tiara, Tylah, Zoe and Nevaeh; aunt, Hattie Ferell; brother, Jose Finn (Vanessa); nephew, Jose Finn Jr.; three godchildren, Tamarea Berry, Larry Stevens, Tylah Ferell, and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney’s Funeral Home, Inwood, New York.
Interment was at the Trinity St. John’s Cemetery, Hewlett, New York.
