A Brooklyn man who was visiting in Rockaway was busted in a public housing building on September 27 and charged with a 2008 drive-by shooting death in Norwich, Connecticut.

Norwich police sources say that José “Koolaid” Ramos was busted in Far Rockaway after a long investigation by the cold case detectives in the Nutmeg State.

The arrest was assisted by detectives from the NYPD’s warrant squad.

Ramos waived extradition in Queens Criminal Court and was transported to Connecticut, where he is being held in lieu of $2 million bond.

A spokesperson for the Connecticut State Police say that he was being charged with the drive-by murder of Tynell “Blu” Hardwick outside of a bar in Norwich known as a drug locaton.

Hardwick, 29, was shot and killed shortly before midnight on October 10, 2008, outside the former Rumor’s Bar in Norwich.
