Rockaway Waterfront Alliance Hosts Bike Tour

More than 25 people joined the tour led by Tom Finkelpearl, Director of the Queens Museum of Art. The group traveled the beach boardwalk from Beach 59 Street to Jacob Riis Bathhouse, which was the highlight of the tour since Moses was responsible for much of Jacob Riis Park.

The tour is one of many that RWA hosts each month to give local residents and visitors to the Rockaways an opportunity to explore the area by bicycle.

The tours are free to the public and sponsored by National Park Service. The next tour will be on October 20 and will explore the east end of the Rockaways. To register or learn more, go to www.rwalliance.org.
