Dick Fox Brings Doo-Wop Show To Town

Lightning Lou Christie is joined by Jay Siegel & the Tokens, Shirley Alston Reeves, Charlie Thomas & The Drifters, The Marcels, The Demensions and Randy & The Rainbows at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury when Dick Fox’s Fall DOO WOP EXTRAVAGANZA arrives on Saturday, September 29 at 7 p.m.

Lou Christie, known for his three octave vocal range, is best known for his string of ’60s hits including “The Gypsy Cried,” “Two Faces Have I,” “I’m Gonna Make You Mine,” as well as his number one smash hit, “Lightnin’ Strikes.”

Jay Siegel & The Tokens are best known for their 1961 hit “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.” Hailing from Brooklyn, the group boasts original lead vocalist Jay Siegel along with Jay Traynor, the original Jay of Jay & The Americans.

Also highlighted on this night of classic oldies will be the original lead singer of the Shirelles, Shirly Alston Reeves who will be belting out her biggest hits, “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow,” “Dedicated to the One I Love,” and “Soldier Boy.”

On this night full of stars, you’ll also hear Charlie Thomas & The Drifters performing numerous Drifters classics as well as The Marcels performing “Blue Moon,” The Demensions singing “Over the Rainbow” and Randy & The Rainbows featuring Randy Safuto vocalizing their biggest hit, “Denise” and much more!
